Current Research Group Projects

The UN climate summits are international public events which receive intense media coverage. In our focal point "The Impact of Climate Conferences", we combine different views and approaches to the communication of the COP21 in Paris 2015.

The project "Down to Earth" analyses how news from the UN climate conference in Paris has reached and affected citizens. The project consists of two related studies with different methodological approaches: an online panel survey and a combination of communication diaries with focus group interviews.

Another project focuses on the communicative networks and social media use during the conference. We analyse how being present at the conference impacts scientists' Twitter use and if there are changes in their communicative behaviour.
