Research Scientist (PhD student) Numerical Methods in Geosciences

My research focuses on investigating mass conserved and efficient multi-tracer semi-Lagrangian transport schemes for climate models. Particularly, I need to implement a semi-Lagrangian scheme on adaptive mesh refinement software, which involves the selection of refinement criteria and data structure for refined grids. Validation of the transport scheme with idealized test cases and historical database is also desirable.
