New publication by Armine Avagyan

We congratulate Armine Avagyan for publishing a new paper in the renowned journal Wetlands. Her work is investigating the spatial as well as the temporal dynamics of pore-water biogeochemistry in soils of a boreal river valley mire in Northwest Russia. This paper shows large spatial variablity of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) contents between different ecohydrological landscape units within one mire complex. As some of these ecohydrological landscape units may have a strong effect on biogeochemical properties of the discharged water, follow-up studies should focus on the ecohydrological variations within peatlands.
