Interactive 2D-visualization of climate model data with the NCAR Command Language (NCL)

During this interactive three-day tutorial course, you will learn how to use the data analysis and 2D visualization software "NCL", a scripting language developed by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). NCL can be used for interactive data processing and visual exploration, but also allows to produce publication quality visualizations.

we would like to announce a KlimaCampus 3-days Hands-On-Workshop on "Interactive 2D-visualization of climate model data with the NCAR Command Language (NCL)", which will take place from September 29th to October 1., 2014, in the Geomatikum building, Room 1536a, 9:00-17:00.

Lecturers: Karin Meier-Fleischer (DKRZ) and Mary Haley (NCAR) supported by Michael Böttinger (DKRZ)

SICCS PhD-Students and IMPRS Students will receive 2 credit point for this course.

*Prerequisites*:

(a) halo ACCOUNT

*Important:* You will need your own account on the DKRZ visualization server "halo"
or other DKRZ servers such as "wizard" throughout the workshop.

When you register, but you don't have an dkrz account yet, ask your master user or
HLRE project administrator for access to the DKRZ visualization server "halo" at
least a week before the workshop starts!
