CliSAP successfully finished in 2018. Climate research continues in the Cluster of Excellence "CLICCS".

Senator for Science on board the "MS Wissenschaft"

How can we adapt our cities to the environmental challenges of the future intelligently? Project Earth: Our Future, a floating exhibition on the "MS Wissenschaft", is devoted to this question. The research ship has been commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research to tour the country. It was moored at the Traditionsschiffhafen on Am Sandtorkai from the 26th to the 29th June 2012.

Hamburg’s Senator for Science Dr. Dorothee Stapelfeldt visited the MS Wissenschaft today to get an impression of the exhibition. She also visited the CliSAP exhibit. David Grawe and Ute Kreis, who together developed an interactive simulation for the Cluster of Excellence, showed visitors how to create a climate friendly city on the screen.

"More green areas, more housing" is the tip that Senator Stapelfeldt received from the ‘urban climate architects’. The multi-touch game aims to reconcile these factors. "I am delighted that the MS Wissenschaft has made a stop in Hamburg again this year and that the Hanseatic City is represented so impressively by the CliSAP Cluster of Excellence’s innovate contribution to the exhibition", said Senator Dr. Dorethee Stapelfeldt.
