CliSAP successfully finished in 2018. Climate research continues in the Cluster of Excellence "CLICCS".

Excellence Initiative: Natural science twice for Hamburg

In addition to the renewal proposal for the climate cluster "CliSAP", the University of Hamburg will go into the second phase of the Excellence Initiative of the German federal and state governments with a cluster proposal in physics.

The new proposal is for a „Hamburg Centre for Ultrafast Imaging - Structure, Dynamics and Control of Matter at the Atomic Scale” (Prof. Dr. R. J. Dwayne Miller, Prof. Dr. Horst Weller). The preliminary proposal was coordinated by the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Natural Sciences and developed in cooperation with the non-university partners DESY, CFEL and XFEL GmbH.  The President of the University of Hamburg extended his congratulations for this success.

Renewal proposal CliSAP
The cluster proposal in physics and the renewal proposal for the Cluster of Excellence „Integrated Climate System Analysis and Prediction" (CliSAP), which was approved in 2007, will be due at the German Research Council by the 1st of September 2011.
