SICSS-Master starts its second round

They come from Asia, North America and Europe: Eleven new students will be starting in the international SICSS Master’s Program at the KlimaCampus this winter semester. The Bachelors all have received excellent grades in the natural sciences and are thus well prepared for the two year course in climate system sciences.

Together with six other students from the Russian exchange program POMOR (Polar and Marine Sciences), they will take courses in the Masters Program “Integrated Climate System Sciences”. Currently they are participating in the orientation weeks at the SICSS Graduate School, where they are learning to find their way around the campus, getting acquainted with the basics of the courses and getting to know each other, the faculty and the CliSAP Office.

Irina Petrova from St. Petersburg arrived in Hamburg three days ago. “The scientific environment at the KlimaCampus offers great opportunities to me. The international community holds many possibilities for networking during my studies in Hamburg”, she says.

The English language Master´s program Integrated Climate System Sciences started in 2009. “From 74 applications we chose the best candidates and welcome them cordially to the KlimaCampus”, says the Coordinator of the Graduate School SICSS, Oliver Dilly.
