DFG-RSF Cooperation: Possibility for Joint German-Russian Project Proposals in all Fields of Science
To facilitate the support of collaborative work between German and Russian research groups, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) and the Russian Science Foundation (RSF) have opened the possibility for joint German-Russian project proposals for the funding period 2020–2022 in all fields of science. Collaborations of research teams from both countries are invited to submit joint proposals.

BMBF/ FONA: Regional Information on Climate Action (RegIKlim)
The BMBF funds projects focusing on gathering regional information on climate action. The goal of the funding scheme is to build decision-relevant knowledge on climate change and to facilitate individual and reliable climate services for adaptation in communities and regions. This involves impact studies as well as integrated assessments of climate risks in order to help reduce vulnerability of certain sectors and regions.

DFG: Communicator Award 2019
The DFG communicator recognizes scientists of all fields of research who have communicated their research findings to the (non-scientific) public with exceptional success. The prize is valued at € 50,000. Proposals and applications can be submitted until 04 January 2019.
