Does the “2-degrees-limit” make sense? How certain are we that we can reach it?

Discussion in the seminar "Uncertain 2 Degrees”

Uncertainties in the context of climate change and the “2-degrees-limit” are not only discussed from the purely scientific perspective anymore but also influence journalism, politics and the public. In the face of uncertainty, one has to ask: Is the “2-degrees-limit” reasonable? Is it feasible? And how certain are we about the science behind it? This panel-discussion is part of our seminar “Uncertain 2 Degrees” and we kindly invite you all to discuss with us.

Speaker: Dr. Oliver Geden (visiting researcher MPI) , Prof . Dr. Hermann Held (UHH), Christopher Schrader (Science Journalist), Dr. Diana Süsser (WWF)
Moderators: Joana Kollert, Lara Möllney and Johanna Baehr
