EGU General Assembly: Jochem Marotzke receives Nansen Medal


Jochem Marotzke receives the Fridtjof-Nansen-Medaille 2009 today for his pioneering research on the space- and time-dependent thermohaline circulation in the ocean and for the development of new modeling approaches. Marotzke, Managing Director at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology (MPI-M) in Hamburg and leading member of the KlimaCampus, will give a medal lecture at the General Assembly.
