12.06.2009

Bogotá, Edmonton, Reykjavik – How do different cities all over the world deal with the challenges of climate change? Starting on 11 June, an exhibition on this topic can be viewed in the Geomatikum (Bundesstr. 55).

Students at the HafenCity University in Hamburg (HCU) developed the exhibition as a semester project. Prof. Dr. Jörg Knieling, Director of the Institute for City, Regional and Environmental Planning at the HCU, opened the exhibition together with the hosts from the KlimaCampus, Prof. Dr. Martin Claußen und Ute Kreis.

In their exhibition the students present strategies and measures taken by ten selected metropoles. The goal of the project was to collect best practice examples for metropolitan climate protection from all over the world.

The exhibition will be open until 19 June.
